There are four Navratri in a year. There are two Gupta Navaratris, which are called Magha Gupta Navaratris and Ashadha Gupta Navaratris. During this, the secret worship of Goddess Durga is performed . It is believed that during this time the mother fulfills her secret desires and the seeker gets wealth, Aishwarya, happiness, peace easily through worship. Along with the worship of the nine forms of the Goddess, ten Mahavidyas are practiced in Gupt Navratri. Sage Vishwamitra became the master of amazing powers by doing the sadhna of the ten Mahavidyas in  Navaratris. The power of his accomplishments can be estimated from the fact that he had even created a new world. Similarly, Meghnad, the son of Lankapati Ravana, did spiritual practice in the  Navaratris to attain incomparable powers.
